The Majority Leader of Parliament Ahmed Nihan Hussain Manik has announced that a number of developmental projects targeting Kulhudhuffushi and Haa Dhaalu atoll would be incorporated in the 2018 state budget.
Speaking with PSM News while in the island of Kulhudhuffushi in Haa Dhaalu atoll, Member of Parliament for Villimale' constituency Nihan said that the last three years have seen various developmental projects targeting the region. He added that in accordance with current policies, work on Kulhudhuffushi Airport would be next in line and would be completed in a speedy manner.
Nihan also revealed plans by the government to upgrade tourism in Haa Dhaalu atoll. He noted that the government had already announced the Integrated Tourism Project which is to be implemented in Kulhudhuffushi. He assured that the ruling party would be lobbying for the project at parliament.
Referring to the numerous public sector investment programs being carried out by the government, Nihan assured that more such programs would be carried out next year as well.
