Mohammad Hussein Fakih, the Honorary Consul General of Maldives in Lebanon, has called on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Asim today.
At the meeting held this morning, the Foreign Minister congratulated Mr. Mohammad Hussein Fakih on being re-appointed as the Honorary Consul General of Maldives in Lebanon and thanked for the valuable services rendered to the Government and people of Maldives. Foreign Minister Dr. Asim also reflected on the bilateral relations between the Maldives and Lebanon and discussed ways of further strengthening the existing ties.
The Honorary Consul General assured his commitment to working with the Government in strengthening the relations between the two countries and cooperation in the development of the Maldives.
Foreign Minister was accompanied by Her Excellency Fathimath Inaya, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Abdul Waris Saeed, Director at the Ministry.
