PSM opens a shop to sell content produced by its channels

Public Service Media (PSM) has opened a shop in the Television Maldives Building to sell content produced by its channels.

The Public Service Media Act stipulates the company to establish a system through which content produced and archived by PSM's channels can be easily accessed by the public. PSM's archive holds content which is over 50 years old. The archive also contains content such as national songs, performances aired by TVM in addition to the latest franchise products by PSM.

The shop was officially inaugurated by the longest serving staff of PSM Mohamed Nazeer, who is currently the Digital and Archive Manager. Nazeer has been working at Television Maldives for 38 of its 39 years.

PSM's Director-E Commerce Ibrahim Nasreen said that the work is currently underway to digitalize over 50 years of content. He added that content produced by PSM can be easily accessed via Maldheeb Shop. He said that this includes the oldest to the newest content.

PSM also has a vision to open a shop to sell the company's content, at Maldives Duty Free, in Velana International Airport. The purpose of this shop would be marketing Maldives to all tourists that enter the airport by showcasing the creativity and traditions of Maldivians through documentaries and videos.
