Nasheed endorsed as Ambassador to Thailand

Maldivian Parliament has endorsed Mohamed Nasheed for the post of Ambassador from Maldives to Thailand, as nominated by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.

The nomination was endorsed by the consensus of all Members of Parliament that participated in the vote. The endorsement is in line with the decision of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security.

Nasheed, also the Leader of Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP), had previously served as a Member of Parliament.
