President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has conveyed congratulations and good wishes to the His Royal Highness, Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, for being appointed today as the new Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In his message, the President expressed confidence that Saudi Arabia will reach greater heights in bringing further progress and prosperity to the nation and its people, in reinforcing its stronghold as a global investment powerhouse, in stabilizing and unifying the Muslim Ummah, and its role as the most important facilitator of regional and global peace.
The President also reiterated the gratitude of the Government and the people of the Maldives for the continued assistance from Saudi Arabia and emphasised his hope that the existing development partnership between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia will go from strength to strength in the years ahead for the mutual benefit of the two countries and their two brotherly peoples.
