Permanent Representative presents credentials to António Guterres

The new Permanent Representative of the Maldives to the United Nations, Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed, has presented his Letter of Credence to the Secretary General of the United Nations, António Guterres, during a ceremony held at the United Nations Headquarters, New York.

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom appointed Ambassador Mohamed as the new Permanent Representative of the Maldives to the United Nations on 9 July 2017.

Prior to his appointment as the Permanent Representative, Ambassador Mohamed was the Foreign Secretary of the Maldives, from November 2013 to July 2017.
