President appreciates contribution for Independence Day

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom expressed his sincere appreciation to everybody who contributed to the successful arrangements and organisation of the 52nd Independence Day activities, and the official visit of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan.

The President noted that carrying out a major national level event would not be possible without the support from all parties involved. He further highlighted the continuous support offered to the administration by the Maldivian people, at every instance of need.
