The Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Maldives, James Dauris, called on Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohamed Asim.
At the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Minister and Ambassador discussed the bilateral relations between the Maldives and the United Kingdom, and ways of further strengthening the existing ties, in areas such as counter terrorism, climate change and cooperation in other broader international issues.
Foreign Minister Asim also thanked the government of the United Kingdom for establishing a temporary visa application center in the Maldives, which aims to ease the visa application process especially for the students. The temporary visa application center will be established at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 16 August 2017.
