Maldivian to begin flight operations to South Africa

National Carrier, Maldivian has revealed proposed plans to begin flight operations to South Africa.

A team is currently in South Africa to evaluate market potential to begin operations to Johannesburg, according to Maldivian. The airline added that a team from South Africa are also in Maldives to evaluate the market of the country.  

Maldivian cited that a final decision on the matter is pending, noting that so far the findings are positive. Maldivian stated operations to South Africa will commence within 5 months after the official announcement.

Maldivian currently operates flights to 10 destinations, including 6 cities in China, Bangkok in Thailand, Dhaka in Bangladesh and Trivandrum in India.
