Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohamed Asim has sent Independence Day greetings to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, on the occasion of the country's independence.
In the Foreign Minister's message, he extended felicitations and sincere good wishes from the Government and the people of Maldives to the Government and the friendly people of Afghanistan. The Minister reiterated the Maldives commitment in maintaining the friendly relations existing between the two countries and ensured that the government of Maldives would work towards further strengthening the bilateral ties.
