Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Asim has sent a condolence message to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Congo, Raymond Tshibanda N'tungamulongo, regarding the mudslides in north-east of Congo, which led to loss of several lives.
In his message, the Foreign Minister said that he was deeply saddened by the devastating news of the loss of many lives and displacement of people caused due to the mudslides in north-eastern Congo. The message further read that at this time of national distress, the Government and the people of Maldives extend profound sympathy to the Government and the people of Congo.
The Foreign Minister also conveyed heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families.
