Maldivian Red Crescent inaugurates its new headquarters in Hulhumale'. The headquarters, is located in the Hulhumale' Central Park area.
High level personnel from the International Federation of the Red Cross and Crescent (IFRC), International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Maldivian Red Crescent (MRC) were present at the inauguration ceremony.
In an exclusive interview with PSM News, Secretary General of MRC Aishath Noora Mohamed highlighted that with the establishment of the new Headquarters, work carried out by MRC would see major rise both in the capital city and other parts of Maldives. She further stated that with the establishment of the new headquarters, staff can create stronger and better connection with its branches across the country.
Secretary General Noora thanked the Maldivian government and private parties for their assistance in establishing the headquarters. MRC boasts ten additional branches in various parts of Maldives.
