Foreign Minister sends condolence to countries affected by Irma

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohamed Asim has sent messages of condolence to the foreign ministers of several affected countries and territories, following the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma.

In his messages to the United States of America, the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, France, Netherlands, the Dominican Republic and Cuba, Minister Asim expressed sadness over the loss of lives, injuries and extensive damage to property, caused by the hurricane.

On behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives, Minister Asim extended deepest sympathies to the governments and the people of these countries and conveyed sincere condolences to the members of the bereaved families.
