Speaker of Parliament Abdulla Maseeh Mohamed participates in the 8th Conference of the Association of SAARC Speakers and Parliamentarians (ASSP) held in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The Parliament speaker is accompanied during the trip by parliamentarians Abdulla Rifau, Asma Rasheed and Ahmed Amir. The conference of the Association of SAARC Speakers and Parliamentarians (ASSP) began tomorrow at Hotel Hilton in Colombo. The conference is attended by speakers from parliaments in the SAARC countries. The conference will be inaugurated by the President of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena. The first ASSP conference was held in 1995 in order to provide a platform for parliaments in SAARC region to share information.
