President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has awarded the winner of 32nd National Quran Recitation Competition. The first place of the competition was won by Mariyam Areen Eesa of Kaashidhoo Island.
Along with the President, First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim also attended the Awarding ceremony which was held at the Islamic Centre.
The President awarded trophies and certificates to the overall first place winners of the competition, and the 7 individuals who committed the Quran in its entirety to memory. The First Lady presented the trophies and prizes to the first place winners in different categories of the competition.
