Deputy Managing Director of Public Service Media (PSM) Mohamed Ikraam Abdul Latheef has announced plans to establish an international bureau of PSM.
PSM has always maintained itself at the frontline, in delivering information to the public, the Deputy Managing Director stated while addressing the graduation ceremony of the Maldives Media Institute (MMI).
Ikraam stated that PSM had achieved a lot in the past few years and aims to expand its services. Ikraam added that PSM aims to establish 8 new branch outlets in various regions of the country, before the end of 2018. He said PSM wants to establish itself as a brand name not only for news and programming but to expand its services to provide financial aid for the media sector. Ikraam highlighted that Maldives Media Institute (MMI) would revolutionize the media institute.
Since 2016, MMI has conducted 8 courses with 82 successful graduates attaining certificate of completion. MMI has conducted courses in journalism, video editing, weather presenting and camera techniques, among others.
