Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture, Dr. Mohamed Shainee has concluded his trip to Europe. The Minister’s trip to Spain, Portugal and the United Kingdom mainly focused on promoting and obtaining the best prices for local fish products.
During his trip to Spain, the Maldivian Fisheries Minister participated in the Scientific Technical Committee Meeting of International Pole and Line Foundation in San Sebastian, while he attended the One-by-One Tuna Fisheries Conference in Portugal. Minister Dr. Shainee gave a keynote speech during the One-by-One Tuna Fisheries Conference on the policies practiced by Maldives in ensuring sustainable fisheries.
Furthermore, the Minister met with major wholesale and retail giants in United Kingdom and pushed to obtain best prices and further promote local fish products.
