Vice Chairman of Maldives Association of Tourism Industries (MATI) Hussain Afeef has stated that the successes achieved by the Maldivian tourism sector is due to the long-lasting strong partnership between the government and the private sector.
Speaking at a press briefing held at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, Vice Chairman of Maldives Association of Tourism Industries (MATI), Hussain Afeef noted the advancements made in the sector since its introduction to Maldives over 40 years ago. He highlighted that different concepts of resorts are established in the Maldives and the partnership between the private sector and the government are noteworthy.
Furthermore, the Vice Chairman of MATI cited that the tourism industry has seen major developments which see a boost in tourist arrivals year on year. All the projections show that the Maldivian tourism industry will continue to develop, assured the Vice Chairman of MATI.
