Project to establish bottling factory launched in Kulhudhuffushi

Island Beverages Maldives Private Limited has commenced the establishment of a bottling factory in Kulhudhuffushi Island of Haa Dhaalu Atoll. The work of the bottling factory was inaugurated by the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. The bottling factory, which is an initiation of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, will provide water for the islands of Haa Alifu and Haa Dhaalu Atoll.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Housing Minister Dr. Muizzu stated that the project is an initiation as part of the development efforts in the region. Furthermore, Minister Muizzu assured that the establishment of the bottling factory will ensure safe and sufficient amount of water for the most northern region of Maldives. The factory holds the capacity of producing 10 thousand bottles per hour, according to Island Beverages, operated by of Male' Water and Sewerage Company Private Limited (MWSC).

With the aim of providing safe and sufficient amount of water, bottling factories are being established by the government across the country.
