National Uro-renal and Fertility Centre celebrates anniversary

Director of the Kidney Centre Dr. Ibrahim Shiham of National Uro-renal and Fertility Centre has stated that their services have been well received by the public and that the centre plans to expand their services in the future. He made the remarks while speaking with PSM News.

The centre is marking its one year anniversary. Within one year, the centre has provided consultations for over 8000 patients for uro-renal and fertility related diseases and have conducted over 200 surgeries.

According to Dr. Ibrahim Shiham, the services of the centre have been received well by the public, but face minor obstacles due to lack of resources and bed capacity. He said with the development of the 25-storey Dharumavantha Hospital, most of these issues would be solved.

The centre currently provides consultations and surgeries for patients suffering from diseases related to kidney, urology and fertility.
