Dhivehi Language Academy unveils special book honoring the services of state dignitary, the late Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi. The book was officially launched by Dr. Abdul Sattar Yoosuf at a ceremony held at Seneco Hall of Dhivehi Raajjeyge Adu.
State dignitary, the late Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi served the government of Maldives for over half a century. Abdul Sattar served the nation in various capacities including senior positions of the government and the cabinet.
His service is especially celebrated in his contribution to the process of securing full independence for the Maldives from the British, in the year 1965. The book was officially launched by Dr. Abdul Sattar Yoosuf at a ceremony held in Seneco Hall of Voice of Maldives.
Addressing the ceremony Dr. Abdul Sattar Yoosuf stated that the Maldivian society must follow in the footsteps of exemplary citizens such as, the late Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi.
Addressing the book-launching ceremony, President of Dhivehi Language Academy, Ashraf Ali stated that Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi always prioritized national harmony. He said that Abdul Sattar’s name is engraved in Maldivian history as an exemplary character with true dedication and sincerity to the nation.
Addressing the ceremony Deputy Managing Director of Public Service Media (PSM) Mohamed Ikram Abdul Latheef stated that the memories of the late Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi would never fade away. He highlighted the close bond the late Abdul Sattar shared with the common people, even when he was filling ministerial positions.
Copies of the book have been distributed to the national library, Maldives National University, Islamic University of Maldives and other educational institutions across the country. The special book was a collaborative effort of Dhivehi Language Academy and Public Service Media (PSM).
