State Trading Organisation (STO) has increased fuel prices due to the fluctuation of oil prices in the international market.
The price of a litre of petrol and a litre of diesel will be increased by 0.35 laari and 0.44 laari respectively, according to STO.
With this change, a litre of petrol will sold for MVR 9.87, while a litre of diesel will be sold at MVR 9.61. STO revealed that fuel is sold in Maldives at a lower price compared to other countries in the region.
