Bed capacity in Maldives reaches a record amount of 41,000

Maldivian tourism bed capacity has reached a record amount of 41,000.

The bed capacity in the Maldivian tourism industry saw an increase of 11% compared to 2016, as per the latest statistics released by Ministry of Tourism. There are a total of 131 resorts, 13 hotels, 460 guest houses and 151 safaris registered in Maldives, according to records.

While 28,647 beds were introduced to tourism industry from resorts this year, 1,594 bed were introduced from Hotels. In addition, 7,149 beds were introduced from guest houses, while 2,779 beds were introduced from Safari industry this year.
