President sends message of sympathy to Saudi King

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has sent a message of sympathy to the King of Saudi Arabia and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, following the Houthi-led ballistic missile attempt targeted at Al-Yamama Royal Palace in Riyadh.

In his message to King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, President expressed with deep concern that he was deeply shocked and outraged to learn of the Houthi-led ballistic missile attempt targeted at Al-Yamama Royal Palace in Riyadh, putting many innocent lives at risk and posing irrevocable damage to resources and infrastructure in the vicinity. The Government and the people of the Maldives join in condemning the act of terror in the strongest terms, noted the President.

President Yameen conveyed his heartfelt sympathies and unwavering support, in concerted counter-terrorism efforts to ensure peace, security and stability around the globe to the King, Government and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia on behalf of Maldives.
