The combination of live concerts, spectacular fireworks displays and hundreds of revelers combine to make the New Year arrival one of the biggest celebrations in the Maldives.
The New Year show presented by Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Corporation (MITDC) boasts a wealth of entertainment for the public.
The Welcome 2018 show which all citizens of Maldives have been waiting for is just a few days away and this year the organisers, Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Corporation (MITDC), has a lot in store for the spectators.
MITDC has planned celebratory appearances for the New Year countdown show, which would also reveal the total amount of tourist arrivals to Maldives in 2017.
According to the information provided by MITDC, a lineup of both local and foreign artists will perform at the New Year show.
MITDC said famous Pakistani playback singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan who has conquered many hearts by lending his voice to melodious tunes will perform at the show.
Rahat is currently ranked amongst the top singers both in Bollywood and Pakistan.
MITDC has also revealed that famous Indian singer, songwriter composer and performer Mika Singh is also set to perform at the New Year show.
Mika is famous for his party and celebratory tunes, both in India and around the world.
Furthermore, according to MITDC, a famous Bollywoood dance group and various famous local artists would perform at the show which would be held at Alimas Carnival.
