Maldives to hold international Quran competition next year

Centre for Holy Quran has revealed plans to hold the first ever international Quran competition initiated by the Ministry of Islamic affairs. Maldives will invite one member from each neighboring country to take part in the competition.

Speaking to PSM News, President of the Centre for Holy Quran, Ibrahim Rasheed Moosa stated that the competition will be held in Ramadan next year. He expressed that the main aim of organising an international competition is to increase knowledge and enhance the relations between Maldives and other Islamic countries. Anybody who is under age 25 can participate in the competition, according to the Centre for Holy Quran.
