Maldivian adds 13th aircraft to its seaplane fleet

National Airline, Maldivian further has expanded its seaplane fleet with the addition of a new aircraft. With the addition of the DHC-6 Twin Otter plane, the total number of aircraft of the Maldivian seaplane fleet rises to 13.

The new aircraft purchased from Canada would be put to service within 10 days, said the operator of Maldivian, Island Aviation Services.

Island Aviation plans to add another four seaplanes to its fleet this year. In efforts to meet the growing demands of the tourism industry, Maldivian has been increasing its seaplane fleet in the past few years.
