Ambassador of India to Maldives Akhilesh Mishra has stated the efforts of Indians living in Maldives is creating a nuclei of friendship between the two nations. The Ambassador made the remarks in his address at the ceremony held to celebrate the 69th Republic Day of India.
Indian Ambassador Akhilesh Mishra conveyed sincere gratitude and profound appreciation for the role of Indians in the development of Maldives. The Ambassador appreciated the contributions of Indians in building the bonds of friendship and contribution to education, health and tourism sector of Maldives.
Akhilesh Mishra also expressed hope to continue working together for the betterment of Maldives. Continuing on, the Ambassador urged Indian citizens to be respectful and sensitive to the traditions, values and ways of life of Maldivians. Respect each other and avoid any condition which may weaken the reputation of Indians in Maldives, advised the Ambassador.
