Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has agreed to visit the Maldives, accepting an invitation from President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his gratitude for the invitation and agreed to visit Maldives at a suitable time when the Special Envoy of the President, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohamed Asim reiterated President Yameen's invitation to Prime Minister to visit Maldives.
Previously, Prime Minister Modi planned to visit Maldives in 2015 but cancelled the trip due to circumstances.
