Parliament schedules first sitting of 2018 for February 5

Maldivian Parliament has announced that the first sitting of the first session of 2018 is scheduled to be held on February 5.

As per information provided by the Parliament Secretariat, the first sitting of the year would be held at Dharbaaruge' Convention Centre, with President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom scheduled to address the nation.

In 2017, parliament deliberated on 45 cases out of which 95.7% were concluded.
