Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Ziyad has revealed plans to open applications next month, for scholarship opportunities sponsored by the Zakat Fund.
The Maldivian Islamic Minister made the statement while addressing the function held to handout letters for patients who would undergo bone marrow transplant procedures sponsored by Zakat Fund.
Islamic Minister Ahmed Ziyad said Zakath Fund has played an important role and has been a ray of hope for many individuals who face hardships in life. Minister Ahmed Ziyad revealed that 8 students are currently attaining education in fields such as medical health and Islamic education, sponsored by the Zakat Fund.
The Minister also noted that the Islamic Ministry has provided assistance from the Zakat Fund to 277 individuals to obtain healthcare.
