Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture Dr. Mohamed Shainee has departed to three countries of Africa as the Special Envoy of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
Fisheries Minister Mohamed Shainee will visit South Africa, Tanzania and Mozambique as part of the campaign to secure a seat for the Maldives at the United Nation's Security Council.
The Maldivian Fisheries Minister is expected to call on the foreign ministers of the three African nations and would discuss on the importance of small island nations representing in the United Nation Security Council.
