Minister of Health Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim has concluded his official tour of Shaviyani atoll.
In this tour, he visited seven islands of Shaviyani atoll; namely the islands of Feevah, Narudhoo, Milandhoo, Funadhoo, Komandoo, Lhaimagu and Maroshi.
Minister Nazim surveyed the health facilities and services provided in respective islands, during this trip. In addition, Minister Nazim inaugurated various new health facilities in the atoll.
He noted that the biggest issue facing the Maldivian health sector was the shortage of Maldivian doctors and assured that the government was planning on establishing a medical college in Maldives in order to address the issue.
