Leader of DRP, Mohamed Nasheed
The council of the Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP) has endorsed President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom in the presidential elections.
At a function held by Ruling Progressive Party (PPM), leader of DRP Mohamed Nasheed said the party council concurred to endorse President Yameen in the elections due to the strong developmental projects and the transformational agenda of the President.
The DRP leader noted that it is agreeable that the economy of the Maldives is experiencing its peak and added that the decision was taken by the council to work together with PPM in the development of the country.
