Maldives to host temporary clinic for German Schengen Visa

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided to host a Temporary Biometric Clinic for German Schengen Visa, in Malé, organized by the Embassy of Germany to the Maldives.

The Biometric Clinic will operate from 0900-1800 from February 7-13, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Clinic will be open from 1400 to 1800 on Friday, February 9, according to the Foreign Ministry.

Applicants can use a link provided by the ministry to book appointments online until 2300 of February 5.

This is the first time Schengen Visa Application Service is provided in the Maldives, and is the result of the close bilateral ties between Germany and the Maldives.

While speaking about the process, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohamed Asim said that the Government of Maldives is grateful that the Government of Germany is providing this service in the Maldives, as this would ease difficulties Maldivians face while applying for Visas to travel to Germany, including those participating in the ITB Fair in March.
