Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Corporation (MITDC) has received a net profit of USD 489,000 in the last quarter of 2017. The total income of the corporation during the last quarter of 2017 is USD 1.2 million, financial statistics issued by MITDC showed.
MITDC is a Government owned corporation established in 2016, mandated with the development of integrated tourism in the Maldives.
To diversify the ever-growing tourism and hospitality industry, the Maldivian Government has been looking into exploring the possibility of tapping into the mid-range tourism market which is currently growing in the Maldives. Under the initiative, the Maldivian Government has embarked on developing the concept of integrated tourism in the Maldives.
