Criminal Court rejects opposition's habeas corpus motion

Criminal Court has rejected the opposition's request for a 'habeas corpus' motion, in a bid to secure the release of the 9 jailed political leaders.

The rejection was due to the ongoing discussions between the Supreme Court, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Attorney General's Office, according to the court.

Meanwhile the Prosecutor General's Office is preparing to submit legal and judicial concerns to the Supreme Court over its order to release all jailed political leaders.

The process of enforcing the court order is currently underway and would be implemented after following due procedures, according to a statement released by the PG Office,
