Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has reiterated its firm commitment in securing the lawfully elected government and to ensure the security and the stability of the country.
A small part of the population is carrying out activities in the capital city and some islands in an attempt to provoke the public and undermine the peace in the country, noted a statement issued by MNDF, adding that it will do everything necessary to eliminate any situation which might destabilise the national security.
The statement further assured firm commitment towards the lawful duties such as ensuring the security of the citizens. MNDF urged the citizens to cooperate with the security forces of the Maldives.
