Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure has revealed that more than 2,000 individuals applied for 1,000 social housing units made available for civil servants. A total of 2,161 civil servants applied for the housing units from 16 different offices, according to Housing Ministry.
The Ministry said 400 housing units will be allocated for technical and management staff, 300 housing units will be allocated for administrative staff while 400 housing units will be allocated for support staff.
The Housing Ministry cited that education qualification and employment duration will be prioritised in the criteria and that a list would be finalised by April this year.
