Minister of Environment and Energy Thoriq Ibrahim has revealed that the administration of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom would not let any individual demolish the true aspects of democracy such as the independence and nationalism of the country.
Speaking with PSM News, the Environment Minister said the opposition alliance aims to hinder the bolt speed progress initiated by President Yameen but assured that the administration would not let the economy face any negative effect.
Continuing on Minister Thoriq noted that both former President Mohamed Nasheed and President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom have failed to deliver development to the country and highlighted that President Yameen has ventured into new horizons and advanced the country in a short period of time.
The Minister described the attempted coup by the opposition alliance by the backing of the Judiciary as a cowardly act and called on opposition to defeat President Yameen in the presidential election.
On this note, Minister Thoriq revealed that the bravery and courage displayed by President Yameen in this sensitive situation has rebooted the courage of his cabinet in assisting the President to deliver the major development projects initiated in the country.
