Maldives National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) has revealed the positive reviews received by the Maldivian stall at the ITB Berlin 2018 testifies the success of the administration over the efforts of the opposition to defame the country. MNCCI expressed the fair in Berlin, Germany has become the desired boost to advertise and promote Maldives as a destination and bring further economic growth to the country.
ITB Berlin 2018 has given the opportunity to deliver authentic and true factual information to international stakeholders on the actual situation of the country, Vice President of MNCCI Ismail Asif said in an exclusive interview with PSM News. In this regard, Ismail Asif noted the administration has been successful in countering the efforts of the oppositional alliance in tarnishing and defaming the country. He highlighted that only a few individuals are engaged in such activities and said majority of the citizens and business entrepreneurs are in favor of the government's efforts in developing the economy of the country.
The high level delegation from Maldives attending ITB Berlin 2018 has conducted meetings and discussions with delegations from several countries. Various business ventures are undertaken during the fair, according to Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC).
ITB Berlin commenced on March 9, with over 187 participants from across 5 continents. The fair provides vast opportunities through a B2B platform for industry partners to interact with trade visitors and expand contacts and do business.
The Maldivian contingent is led by a high level delegation which includes Ambassador of Maldives for United Kingdom and European Union Ahmed Shiaan and Ambassador of Maldives for Germany Jameela Ali.
