Maldives Embassy in Sri Lanka has urged Maldivians residing in Sri Lanka to abide by the immigration regulations of Sri Lanka when seeking visa and letters.
In a press statement issued, Maldives Embassy in Sri Lanka revealed that discussions with Sri Lankan immigration authorities are underway to enhance visa issuance and visa renewal services for Maldivians in Sri Lanka.
Maldives Embassy urged not to send agents to seek any such documentation, advising instead, to personally visit the institution for visa services.
In the statement, the Maldives Embassy in Sri Lanka noted that the issue was widely discussed during the meetings held, adding that if medical conditions do not allow a patient to personally attend institution or if in the case of a minor, visa will be issued to the guardian.
