Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has revealed that the company has received funds for the development of the passenger terminal of Velana International Airport (VIA).
Briefing the media on the latest updates of the passenger terminal of VIA, Managing Director of MACL Adil Moosa assured the delayed commencement of the operation of the passenger terminal would not hinder the progress and completion of the terminal within the given timeline.
The passenger terminal would be developed with the latest technological equipment and has the capacity to cater 7 million passengers a year, according to MACL.
The USD 350 million project is contracted to be completed by 2019.
