The government of Maldives has announced plans to commence the Male' block re-development project.
Some areas of the capital city would be evacuated to develop spacious and well equipped accommodation blocks, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said speaking at a press conference. In this regard, Minister Muizzu revealed that congested areas from Maafannu area in Male' city would be evacuated to develop the accommodation blocks.
The Minister said detailed surveys have been conducted in the area and assured the citizens living in the congested area would be provided with 256 housing units from Hulhumale'. 3 housing towers of 25-storeys would be developed in the evacuated area of Maafannu, according to Housing Ministry.
