Foreign Secretary Ahmed Sareer has hosted a welcome get-together for the participants of the Second Ambassadorial Workshop, under the theme "Developing Sustainably Sharing Experiences, Seeking Solutions" to be held from March 30- April 2, 2018, in Maldives.
At the event hosted at Bandos Maldives this evening, Foreign Secretary Sareer welcomed the Ambassadors from their respective countries to the United Nations, who have traveled from New York, and expressed appreciation on behalf of the Government of Maldives, for their participation.
Speaking at the event, Foreign Secretary expressed his hope that the workshop will provide a useful platform for everyone to discuss, exchange lessons and best practices on developing sustainably, and on how economic growth is undertaken while preserving the country's natural environment.
The get-together was also attended by senior officials of government agencies who are supporting the workshop together with staff from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The two-day workshop will focus on sustainable practices of fisheries and tourism in the Maldives.
