Ministry of Environment and Energy has contracted SJ Construction Private Limited to establish sewerage facilities in three islands.
The agreement of the project was signed by Minister of Environment and Energy Thoriq Ibrahim and Managing Director of SJ Construction Mohamed Shihad. Under the agreement, SJ Construction will establish sewerage facilities in Bilehdhoo in Faafu Atoll, Innamaadhoo in Raa Atoll and Feevah in Shaviyani Atoll.
Environment Minister highlighted the efforts of the government to ensure safe sewerage facilities in all islands in Maldives, while speaking after signing the agreement.
The project funded by the Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP) of the government, is expected to cost over USD 2.7 million. SJ construction is contracted to complete the project within 12 months.
