Three people died, with 20 more injured after a van ploughed into a group of people sitting outside a restaurant in the old town of Muenster in western Germany on Saturday.
The driver, who was identified as a German national, died after shooting himself at the scene.
Police found a suspicious object in the van, with authorities heading to the suspect's home to carry out further investigations, according to some reports.
