Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVET) has held a special seminar for individuals interested in small businesses. The one-day seminar organised by TVET was conducted in association with Colombo Plan Staff College.
The Colombo Plan Staff College for Technician Education is a regional inter-governmental organisation in Asia Pacific region mandated to enhance vocational education and training in SAARC member countries. The seminar was attended by around 90 members from offices, schools, colleges and non-governmental organisations.
The seminar included sessions on how to startup businesses and on solving problems and challenges faced by established businesses, according to TVET. The authority noted it is working to hold similar programmes in other parts of the country.
