Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has launched new services commemorating its 52nd anniversary.
One of the new services launched by MACL is the hand held mobile check in service. The hand held mobile check in service was launched by Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed. Under the new service, passengers needing special assistance will be helped by MACL staff for check-in services, while passengers are seated comfortably, according to MACL. The new service is specialised for elderly passengers, passengers travelling with children and for disabled people. Speaking regarding the new service, Managing Director of MACL Adil Moosa stated the new mobile check-in service was introduced to ease the travelling of passengers.
Furthermore, MACL has also launched an automated cargo system. The automated cargo system was launched by Commissioner General of Customs Ibrahim Shareef. The new system is a fully integrated cargo handling mechanism which is in line with the latest industry standards which will provide efficient and reliable services to customers, according to MACL.
