Vice President Abdulla Jihad has stated, acknowledging the efforts of civil servants is one of the main priorities of the administration.
Addressing the Third Civil Service Conference, the Maldivian Vice President noted major initiatives spearheaded by the administration such as, increasing salaries of civil servants and providing them with opportunities for development.
In his speech, Vice President Abdulla Jihad called on all civil servants to refrain from spreading baseless rumors that tarnish the image of the President and other leaders of the country. On this note, Vice President Jihad said, some civil servants act with a political motive which disrupts the peaceful functioning of the civil service.
The Vice President emphasised on the importance of providing services that are free and fair to all citizens.
Maldives Civil Service Conference 2018 on Reforming and Modernising Civil Service will conclude on April 15 at Dharubaaruge' Convention Centre.
